Lil Jamaica provides an atmosphere that is welcoming. Big table in the back is great for family style dining. Ate so much my stomach was hurting. The server was by herself but she was in her game. Classic style Mac & Cheese, Ox tail, stewed chicken, curry shrimp and sweet plantain all came out the kitchen looking good but most importantly nice and hot. Very good .

When i came into this restaurant, i felt all good vibes! It was a mixture of being at a family reunion and a house party! The service was like an auntie taking good care of u. You might have to wait a few minutes for your food, but it's gonna be well worth it. I had the Eskovitz Fish and the brown stew snapper. They were both good but the brown stew was amazing. They had a live DJ that played old school and new stuff, it helped the time pass while I waited for my food and all I wanted to do was dance and smile. Definitely definitely going back.

The food was amazing. It was well seasoned the oxtails fell of the bones and the plant was soft and sweet.

Lil' Jamaica is so good! Definitely some of the best food I've had in Jacksonville so far. It's decently sized and has a good number of tables to chose from. I'd say it's more of a grill than a sports bar, although there is a bar you can sit at. I ordered the curry chicken. The chicken was fall off the bone and the curry was full of flavor. I got a side of rice and a small plate of plantains. The plantains were delicious. The owners, Shirelle and Austin, were so friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend!

What a wonderful lunch surprise. Legitimately good chicken sandwich with fries that are perfect to the crunch. Complimented with rice and curry chicken gravy.

Actually really good food, I thought it would be a little odd because I never had anything like it but very soothing to my palate. The vibes of the place were tight and chill and the service was pretty good too. The meats were all really tender the patty was good but the chicken one was spicier, the collard green looking this was actually rlly good like a creamed spinach and Mac and cheese was very max and cheesy

I've been here a few times for dinner to tryout different entrees but the food here is soso in my opinion. It may just be the cultural food that I'm not use to but it was very greasy. In the picture is a macaroni and cheese, rice, Curry Chicken, and a Oxtail Beef. The good side to this place is the service and nice music that plays and a available parking spot so you can just chill inside. Overall this place is a 3.5/5 star. Again others may disagree and say this place was way better and give a better rating but going multiple times for the food I didn't get the satisfaction I needed as a customer. Everything was good for me but the food just wasn't for me.

Couple of months ago, a friend of mine and I drove through Jacksonville, North Carolina, and came across this Caribbean restaurant. Based on the wonderful reviews, we decided to stop and have a dine-in meal. We had ordered some Jerk Chicken and Curry Chicken as our entrees which comes with Rice & Peas and we ordered some fried Plantains and Jamaican soda. Jerk Chicken is marinated with a fiery mixture of jerk spices. You can order a large or small plate. Curry Chicken is cooked with a traditional blend of seasoning and spices. When we arrived for lunch, they were no wait time. We walked in and we were seated immediately. Based on the wonderful reviews we read, we had decided before our arrival that we would wait for a little. Many had pointed out that the wait would be worth it. Once our food arrived, the food was simply amazing and it smelled delicious. The portion sizes were very generous and the service, the waitress was very professional and courteous. We couldn't have asked for a better experience at Lil' Jamaica Sports Bar & Grill. As a Caribbean food lover and someone who has been to Jamaican restaurants almost all over the world, their food is in my top 10. When you're eating at this Caribbean restaurant, it isn't just Caribbean people you run into but people from all over. The atmosphere is wonderful and the music just wants to make you dance as you eat your food. The food has a universal appeal but it's 100% authentic Jamaican. I will be back to try more entrees.
